Those that had arrived Friday and Saturday enjoyed coffee, did more touring and some took a pre-brunch run to get ahead of the game. We all started gathering at 11:30 and the COPA private room in the Jekyll Island Club had seating for 60 and every seat was taken. We socialized, for a while and our organizer Jim Dout started the proceedings. Jim recognized David and Jean Hlebichuk, from Montgomery Texas who made the longest flight to the event. We had members from 6 other states.
Because of the size of our group we visited the incredible Jekyll Island Club Brunch Buffet one table at a time, while the rest of the group socialized.
Everyone enjoyed the socializing and most made several trips to the buffet, there was everything from sea food, roast beef, omelets, salad’s and deserts to die for. No one left hungry, was a real dining experience.
After Brunch our speaker Brian Turrisi briefed us on new developments and the right approach to flight medical certification.
After the brunch those that elected to to take the optional 90 minute trolley tour of Jekyll stopped for a quick trolley group picture, then boarded the trolley for a great exposure to the incredibly history of Jekyll Island.
Everyone expressed the appreciation to Jim and Jackie Dout for organizing a incredible weekend experience. Every detail was looked after and there was a they were recognized and applauded for the great job they did at each gathering. Thank you Jim and Jackie.
