A Journal, with Pictures

Sep­tem­ber 29th we flew from Col­orado Springs to Ogden, Utah for fuel and to have lunch with our friends, Glen­da and Bob Schrad­er. It was anoth­er pret­ty day and despite a head wind arrived at lunch time and thor­ough­ly enjoyed vis­it­ing with our long time friends. We then took off for Bend to vis­it the Williamson fam­i­ly. Gil’s broth­er Mike met us and guid­ed us to his hangar where we parked the plane. We then checked into our hotel, which was in a great part of town. After fresh­en­ing up we met the fam­i­ly for din­ner. Sis­ters Tina, Suzy and Pat­ty, with hus­bands Don, Mark and Ter­ry, joined broth­er Mike, Joyce and Gil get­ting every­one togeth­er for the first time in a num­ber of years. We had a great evening catch­ing up. The next day Mike and Gil toured the Lan­cair fac­to­ry and a cus­tom builder of the Evo­lu­tion. The air­plane is gor­geous and has impres­sive per­for­mance char­ac­ter­is­tics, and we learned a lot. Joyce did sight see­ing with Pat­ty then the fam­i­ly got togeth­er again for din­ner this time Eric and Max, Suzy and Marks sons joined in the gath­er­ing. The next day off to California.
