Ocean Reef Fly-In Friday, October 22nd.

We made the easy two and a half hour flight from Hilton Head to Ocan Reef Club Friday morning landing in time for lunch. COPA members started gathering at Ocean Reef Club on Key Largo on Wednesday and Thursday and the bulk of the 50 attendees to the fly-in landed on Friday. Let the record show that Dennis and Jill drove from Miami, Florida. In addition to the 20 Cirrus, Alan Klapmeir flew the Kestrel prototype and Mason Holland the Eclipse jet. In addition Dan Schwinn, CEO of Avidyne flew in, for a very great COPA roots gathering.
The attendee’s enjoyed the activities at Ocean Reef and met informally for lunch and by the pool. The first organized event was Friday evening at the Yacht Club for cocktails and dinner, where Dennis filled us in on the plan for the week-end before cocktails and dinner.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening and we left in time to see our SF Giants, win game 4 to go to the World Series, perfect end to a great day.
