Beautiful Sedona

by on Oct.14, 2010, under Happenings

On Thursday morning, October 7, we depart Monterey for Sedona, Arizon. The forecast indicates the possibility of strong winds for our landing. After a great three and a half hour flight the winds are twenty six knots gusting to thirty two at a sixty degree cross wind, challenging. It takes us three tries to figure the high terrain, swirling wind, mountain top airport landing out, but we get it done. We are off to the Enchantment resort, lunch and sight seeing. The scenery is stunning and we enjoy the afternoon exploring the area and finish with an excellent dinner at the resort.

The next day we do more exploring and travel to Montezumas Castle, which is actually the 700 year old site of Indian farmer cave dwellers. The vistas are breathtaking and after touring we visit the spa, have another great dinner then prepare for our trip to Houston in the morning.
